OUR METHOD
A truly exceptional design goes beyond just aesthetics. It creates an environment that is effortlessly lived-in. Our method includes 5 steps. The specific steps may vary depending on the scope and complexity of the renovation project.
Initial Consultation
One-hour complimentary in-home meeting to assess space, discuss needs, and provide preliminary design recommendations. Purpose: establish rapport, gather project information, and determine fit. Designer will go through lifestyle, design preferences, budget, and specific requirements. Client can share inspirations, ideas, existing furniture, and décor. Measurements and photographs taken.
Planning
This phase involves gathering information, establishing goals, and creating a design plan. It includes assessing the existing space, identifying the clients needs and preferences, setting a budget, determining the scope of work and a timeline for the renovation project. A detailed Quote is provided – upon approval, modifications to the scope of work can be done at this stage.
Design
In this phase, the design concept is developed and finalized based on the clients requirements. It includes creating detailed drawings, selecting materials, finishes, and fixtures and creating a comprehensive design proposal. The design phase also involves obtaining any necessary permits or approvals.
Construction
During the implementation phase of a renovation project, the focus shifts to actualizing the design plan. By this stage any necessary permits and approvals should be in place. Followed by demolition, construction, installation of new elements, and finishing touches. Coordination with contractors and specialty trades, compliance with building codes, and regular site visits are crucial during construction. It's essential to work with professionals for safe demolition and proper material disposal. As the renovation nears completion, final adjustments are made, minor issues are addressed, fixtures and finishes are finalized, and thorough cleaning is conducted. A final walkthrough with the contractor ensures that all renovation aspects meet expectations.
Project Completion
Once the renovation is fully completed and all inspections are passed, the project is considered finished. This is a significant milestone, marking the culmination of meticulous planning, skilled craftsmanship, and diligent project management. At this stage, you will typically receive the final documentation, including detailed plans, permits, and any relevant warranties. These documents serve as valuable records for future reference, ensuring that you have a comprehensive understanding of your renovated space. Additionally, you will receive any necessary instructions for maintenance and care, helping you preserve the beauty and functionality of your newly transformed area. With the project officially completed, you can now begin to enjoy the enhanced comfort and beauty of your renovated space.
